NSW Northern Rivers Community

Bundjalung Mothers Rising is open to all women of the NSW Northern Rivers who feel a strong maternal call to action and a longing for deeper healing, connection and purpose in their world.

The aim of this group is to build a strong supportive grassroots network of women and to provide a safe and respectful space to explore the complex and often polarizing issues that leave many mothers feeling disconnected and unsupported. 

Some of the issues we may explore:

- experiences over the past 5 years

- spirituality and collective energy themes

- challenges and perceived expectations of motherhood

- intimate relationships (with respect for the privacy of those involved, no partner bashing!)

- unique challenges of single parenting and step/blended families

- how our childhood experiences and early relationships impact our parenting and relationships

- birth trauma/postpartum/parenting discussions

- fundamental flaws and failures of current systems  

- medical coercion, freedom of choice

- impact of cost of living crisis on relationships and families 

- the challenges ahead and possible solutions

Babies and children of all ages are welcome, as are pregnant women, grandmothers, aunties and other loving and supportive women. Come with or without kids.
